Hello, it´s me – Stefan Lindner
Something about me …
I am working for more than 35 Years in IT
My experience started with developing programs on a mainframe with COBOL – probably not relevant anymore today, but it permanently helped me during my life to understand business needs and have a good analytical thinking.
Being interested in Personal Computers I started to design and built Novell Networks for companies, which at a certain time turned into Microsofts environments for Domains and Active Directory.
Almost 25 years ago I began to develop automatism to manage accounts for these environments, connected to HR systems. First Joiner and Leaver processes were born, even that at this time we did not call it “Identity and Access Management”.
With the upcoming out-sourcing and out-tasking contracts the management of “External Identities” had to be established and these were often not in scope of HR. Today we are facing new challenges with Identities like Robots, IOT devices and Customers. These are typically many more than the internal employees and sometimes difficult to handle, with different Identity Management Processes.
In the meantime I spent a lot of time implementing IS Process Frameworks – ITSM – on different levels – smaller entities and also enterprise organizations. Always with the target to create operational benefits and not only paperwork.
With frameworks like SOX I made a lot of experience getting Identity and Access Management processes under control, building IAM frameworks, running projects and consulting organizations on their change journey.
